July 2 is the day of remembrance of the death of the defender of Ukraine, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Gerasym (09.06.1976 – 02.07.2022). In civilian life, he graduated from the Selydiv Mining College and worked as the head of the DKT section. During the general mobilization in March 2022, Valery did not hesitate to defend the Motherland and was sent to military unit A0693 to carry out tasks. Faithful to his military oath, having shown exceptional resilience and courage, the soldier died in the area of the city of Marinka from injuries incompatible with life.
