July 8 is the day of remembrance when the heart of the courageous defender of Ukraine, a native of Novogrodivka, Oleg Rozanov (23.10.1971 – 08.07.2023), stopped. He dedicated his peaceful working life to his native land and the 1/3 Novogrodivska mine, where he worked his way up from an electrician to the head of the site and founded a local volleyball team. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Oleg Rozanov voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the 56th separate motorized infantry Mariupol brigade. In March 2023, near Volnovakha, the soldier was seriously wounded, but showed incredible strength of spirit and alone covered kilometers to get to the hospital. Despite the long, exhausting struggle of the doctors and the Hero's unwavering desire to return to the front lines, the injuries proved too severe.
