Novohrodivka is a city in the Pokrovsk District of Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. It is located approximately 50 km northwest of Donetsk. Following the administrative-territorial reform, it became part of the Novohrodivka Urban Territorial Community.
History
- Founded in 1939 in connection with the development of coal deposits and the expansion of the coal mining industry.
- Granted the status of an urban-type settlement in 1950.
