Dolynivka is a cozy and picturesque village of the Novogrodivsk urban territorial community of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region. It has a rich historical and cultural heritage, which is intertwined with agricultural traditions, the cultural influence of German settlers and the labor achievements of many generations of residents of the Donetsk region. The settlement was founded at the end of the 19th century (1888–1889) as a German Mennonite colony called Neu-Anhalt.

History

In the 20th century, as a result of historical and socio-political transformations, the settlement was renamed Dolynivka. The name reflects the features of the local relief - the location in a cozy steppe valley. As a result of the administrative-territorial reform and decentralization in Ukraine, the village of Dolynivka officially became part of the Novogrodivska urban territorial community of Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region on June 12, 2020 in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 721-r.

Features

The main wealth of Dolynivka has always been its chernozems. The village traditionally developed as an agricultural center, where local residents and farms were engaged in the cultivation of cereals, sunflowers and animal husbandry. Picturesque steppe spaces, clean air and local water bodies created a special comfort for village life.

Dolynivka preserves the memory of several generations of local residents who built and developed the village, contributing to the cultural and economic development of the Pokrovsky district.

Modernity

Until the escalation of hostilities and the temporary occupation of the territory of the community, the main facilities for ensuring the life and leisure of the population were functioning in Dolynivka: educational and upbringing institutions, a village club and a library, a paramedic and obstetrician's station for providing primary medical care, retail facilities. Bus connection with the administrative center of the community (Novogrodivka) and Pokrovsk.

Today, Dolynivka, like the entire Novogrodivka community, is experiencing a difficult period of trials due to armed aggression
