Nadiya Kharchenko

Nadiya Kharchenko

Nadiya Kharchenko (1939 - 2024).

A pensioner, a former coal industry worker. Nadiya Kharchenko spent almost her entire life in her native village of Mykhailivka. She devoted herself to her family, raising a son and daughter. She worked at one of the enterprises of the SE "Selydivvuhillya", where she worked as a loader in a mine. After receiving an injury at work, she retired due to health reasons (she had a disability group). While on well-deserved rest, she was engaged in housekeeping and devoted time to her loved ones. In July 2024, Nadiya was supposed to celebrate her 85th anniversary.

Nadiya Kharchenko's life was tragically cut short on June 3, 2024, as a result of enemy shelling of the village of Mykhailivka by Russian troops. Around midday, the occupiers struck the settlement with an aerial bomb, followed by shelling from the Smerch multiple launch rocket system. This strike was fatal for Nadiya Kharchenko and a 12-year-old boy who was in the village.

A bright memory to the civilian victims of Russian aggression.
